2023 National Literary Competition

The subject of the National Literary Competition for the year 2023 are screenwriting projects for a film and audiovisual work of fiction or animation or experimental in the Luxembourgish, French, German and/or English language. Created in 1978 by the Ministry of Culture, the National Literary Competition aims to encourage literary creation in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

There will be two prize categories: one for adult authors from 20 years old, the other for young authors from 12 to 19 years old:

  • The first prize in the 'adult author' category is worth 5,000 euros.
  • The first prize in the 'young author from 12 to 19 years' category is worth 2,000 euros.

The 2023 Competition is open to authors/collectives of authors holding Luxembourg nationality or residing in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg or, where applicable, having their fixed or predominant place of work or, failing that, various locations on the territory of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

The deadline for the submission of manuscripts is Monday, June 12, 2023.
