Launch of the call for projects to support new forms of cultural mediation

The Ministry of Culture's support for new forms of cultural mediation - blogs, vlogs and podcasts - is a new mechanism to support authors, critics or columnists specialised in cultural matters who create an independent platform, blog, vlog or podcast dedicated to publishing, accompanying or criticising current events in the artistic and cultural scene in Luxembourg.

The aim is to encourage new writing and innovative forms that accompany artists in their creative process or institutions in their programming and allow the public to have access to a sharp and independent opinion and to have a different look at the arts and aesthetic discourse in Luxembourg.

Individuals working in the media or in the cultural sector are eligible to apply. This call is not open to legal entities, companies, public institutions, non-profit associations, municipalities or schools. It also excludes content produced by a press or audiovisual organisation that already benefits from other public financial support mechanisms.

Those wishing to benefit from the support for new forms of cultural communication - blogs, vlogs and podcasts - must submit a complete application before 28 February 2023.

The grant is a maximum of €5,000 per project, paid directly to the beneficiary, and can only be awarded once for a period of three years.

Applications for support from the Ministry of Culture for new forms of cultural communication - blogs, vlogs and podcasts - will be assessed by a jury made up of:

  • Anastasia Chaguidouline, head of cultural programming at the Cercle-Cité
  • Céline Flammang, from the Department of Media, Connectivity and Digital Policy at the Ministry of State
  • Josée Hansen, head of the Departement of artistic creation and promotion at the Ministry of Culture
  • Luc Schadeck from the Department of Communication and Public Relations of the Ministry of Culture

All the conditions and criteria of the call are available on the website of the Ministry of Culture.
