  • In its report following the third monitoring meeting with representatives of the European Capital of Culture Esch2022, the panel of independent experts congratulates the Esch2022 organisational team for its excellent work and recommends that the Melina Mercouri prize be awarded to the project.

  • After confirmation by the Government Council, the Ministry of Culture is pleased to announce the next Board of Directors of the Grand Duke Jean Museum of Modern Art Foundation. The new board will take office on 1 January 2022.

  • On 7 January 2021, Minister for Culture Sam Tanson gave an update on the reopening of cultural institutions and the new measures aimed at the cultural sector, as provided for in the draft law amending the amended law of 17 July 2020 introducing a series of measures to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
